What is a Bobbin?
A bobbin is an insulating body onto which copper windings are wound around a ferrite core. It mechanically fixes the winding arrangement in transformer and inductor production and can be directly mounted to a PCB via pins. Material selection is made based on operating temperature and voltage insulation requirements.
